About Me

My name is Emma Watson. I am a Registered Dietitian, certified group exercise instructor & yoga teacher. I have always had an interest in health, fitness & food. After completing my Bsc(hons) degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne I decided to further direct my energies towards my interests & study a for a Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics at Leeds Metropolitan University. I registered as a Dietitian in 2008 & obtained my first clinical Dietetics job at a large teaching hospital in the North East of England. I have spent the past fifteen years working within numerous clinical specialities with patients with a variety of clinical conditions including: cancer, critical care, surgery & gastroenterology.
I started practising yoga at the age of 15. At the time I loved to work on my flexibility & contort my body into weird & wonderful shapes. As time passed I started to tune in to how yoga made me feel & how it links to religion & philosophy; topics which have always fascinated me. I was always keen to learn to teach yoga but when I realised its depth I felt that I needed more time to learn as much as possible before embarking on a teacher training programme. I completed my Foundation in Yoga course in 2014 with the British Wheel of yoga & started teaching in 2015. I completed my 300 hour teaching diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2018.
I am passionate about helping people using nutrition, wellbeing & yoga, but I also understand that human factors can affect our ability to live the life we want to live. I help to translate complex scientific nutrition & spiritual information into a format that is usable for everybody in everyday life.
